Darcy stood in his chamber in front of the large mirror that almost covered the whole wall. He buttoned the last button on his jacket and looked at himself in the mirror. He wasn't the bragging type, not really, but he had to say that he looked quite handsome. This outfit suited him. It was very simple. but still it looked more that simple. He had just some black trousers, a black shirt, a vest and a long jacket over that. All black. Yes, very simple, but very nice. His hair was as usual, just hanging there, a bit curly, down his shoulders. He thought for a second and then he opened one of the two top drawers. He took out a long velvet band, and tied it around his hair, like a ponytail, but still not really.
He could here how the maids were working downstairs, and he could also hear a car pull up on the gravel. The guests were starting to come. Darcy smiled a bit, straightened his jacket, and then went downstairs. The maids that were nor supposed to be at the party, quickly went away, and the others, dressed up for the occasion, went to their places, and one to the door. She smiled and opened it as Darcy went to it, and out. The sun was about to set and it was quite chilly, but nothing that bothered Darcy. He quite enjoyed the weather.
Darcy had his hands behind his back, as he stood in the doorway to great the guests, one of them already there. Darcy smiled and greeted: "Welcome"

Eloise knew tonight was the night that her cousin planned the Victorian themed party at his manor and knew all vampires would be there---and so she had to attend and to make herself look nice at least and so as soon as she awoke from her slumber--she arose and some maids helped her change. Eloise was out of her chambers right before Darcy went downstairs to greet the guests. Eloise walked down the staircase down to the entrance, her Victorian dress flowed behind her as did her hair. The back of her hair was curled up while the rest was strightened. {Her hairstyle} But her dress was truely a site to behold. It was a dark purple color with a train flowing behind her. Black gloves covered her arms. Her shoes clipped and clopped against the ground as she too walked towards the entrance as she replied to her cousin,"Always the good host, cousin."Eloise then smiled to him as she watched guests begin to pour in.

No-one in their right mind would walk to the Dartagnan Manor, seeing as it lay a fair distance away from the centre of the city. With this taken into consideration, Jos hailed a taxi, gave the address, smirked at the cabbie's reaction and was transported to her intended destination. She could have driven but then again, she predicted that consuming alcohol would be included in the evening's festivities so she had decided against it.
This party would be an excellent chance to re-assert her position as third in command and hopefully establish some new connections. Most of hers tended to fall victim to a certain Mr. Bastier. As a rule, the vampires tended not to speak of him at what were supposed to be joyous occasions. Tonight was one of those. Darcy was throwing a party, in his own home no less. It was bound to be excellent.
Chocolate locks fell about her face in curls, a few pinned up with sapphire slides here and there. Her skin held colour, a result of her recent feed the night before, and no longer looked so deathly pale. Her first thought when she heard it was to be a victorian themed party was to abstain from dressing up entirely. It was a ridiculous idea to her but over time she had warmed to it, particularly when she found the perfect dress.
Bodiced, her already slender figure was accentuated in its design. The top half was an ebony colour with dark blue embroidery, barely noticeable unless one looked closely. The skirt was the same as the bodice but inverted; dark blue taking priority with black decoration around the hem. It was sleeveless, much to her delight. A pair of elegant black heels, barely visible under the dress, added to her height. The only jewellery she wore was a black ribbon choker, encrusted with a sapphire in the centre.
Once she had reached the Manor and paid the stunned mortal his fare, she ascended the steps to the front door, which were already open in expectation of guests. The doormen would have their work cut out this evening. She was glad to see she was one of the first to arrive. Jos hated to be late to anything. Walking towards the doorway, she spotted Darcy and his cousin, her good friend Eloise, already waiting. "Good Evening Darcy, Eloise" She spoke simply, a smile growing on her lips.

Darcy nodded at Jos as she spoke, and smiled "Good evening, Jos, and welcome" Darcy made a gesture with his hand, inviting Jos in to his home. He was glad to see that Jos had come, since, she was one of the few vampires he really really trusted. He thought of her as the most loyal of them, and was always glad to see her, no matter what situation it was, but off course, if it was a happy event, like this one, he were extra glad.
A maid, dressed in proper Victorian maids dress, walked past Darcy and Eloise and out to Jos, and the other arriving vampires. She were carrying a tray with glasses of red wine. She curtsied and served Jos a glass, smiling, as she had been told.

Oceane was not one to drive this evening and she planned not to. She was coming to this vampire party, her first one in a long time--she was over eight hundred years old and she had not been to a party in forever. But this party she could not miss--especially since the theme was Victorian--her favorite era next to the Tudor era. So you could imagine how long she took on getting ready. Almost an hour or so--- It took Oceane an hour but she was ready off in a limo--she proably knew that her friend and roomate,Maria or Dido as her nickname was to be,would be there--a party was no fun without her friends after all. As Oceane sat within the limo, she fixed her makeup and her hair--she had not met the leader of the vampires before and was told by her friend,Aston about him--she would have fun with this. She had her dark brown hair done up in large curls and white roses were pinned to the back of her hair. But her dress almost looked like the dress that Christine wore in Think of Me scene in the Phantom of the Opera film. {{Her Dress}} As soon as the limo stopped outside of the manor that was Darcy's. She smiled, opened the door and got out of the car. As she got out--the limo sped off--she would notify them when she wanted a ride back home. She looked to see that so many vampires had arrive before her and were entering the doorway where Darcy was greeting his guests--Oceane took the chance as she walked to the doorway and said to Darcy,"Well, well, here is the host himself."

"Yes, that's quite right" Darcy answered and nodded just a bit, with a smile. "Welcome"
He wasn't sure he had met this vampire before, but he didn't think much about it. This was a vampire party, and she obviously was a vampire, so she fitted right in, and she was pretty, he had to say.
The maid that had been serving red wine to Jos, now walked over to Oceane and held out the tray for her to take a glass.
"Have we met?" Darcy asked, taking a glass, and taking a sip of the red wine.

Oceane watched as the maid walked over to her with a tray with a glass of wine and she grasped the cup of wine in her hand, taking a light sip of it as Darcy spoke to her--he was indeed handsome in person and she could only gather about what Aston had told her of him--so she had best be kind to him. She then smiled and said,"No,indeed,we have not met--"Oceane then curtised to him,not dropping a single drop of wine."My name is Oceane--Oceane Volette--I am new to Dark--I was told of you by my friend,Aston Brishen--I believe you know him--"

Darcy bowed a bit and nodded. "Yes, we have met" Darcy's eyes got thoughtful, he was thinking about when he had met Aston in his office, and he was wondering if he would come here to the party, or perhaps he just wasn't the party person. When Darcy got back to the real world, he smiled at Oceane. "Yes, we have met, and it was very... Interesting... You've known him for a long time?"

Oceane shook her head and daintly drank a bit of the wine in her hand. She then replied,"No,no,not very long--well,yes--he and I met a few times during the centuries--he was actually kind enough to help me find a home here in Dark."Oceane then looked around--where was Aston? He told her that he would be there that evening--not that she cared--she wasn't his date--nor would she ever be.

"Oh... So it was a long time ago you were turned?" Darcy smiled lightly and took a sip of the wine, looked down in the glass, and then at Oceane again. "Do you know if he is coming? I would very much like to see that he does." Aston WAS the fourth in command after all, and it would be strange not to see him here, and where were Philip, his second in command? Darcy looked down the road, just a bit, to see if there were anyone coming.

Marc Ravenel knew he was pushing his luck the moment his car parked further down the street. All the vampires had been invited typically, but very few people would have expected or wanted him to turn up. There was no telling what Dartagnan's reaction was going to be but, on technical grounds, he was allowed to be there. And why not? He had not been to a good party in a while. Then again, this one might not be that spectacular.
He had one or two close friends within Dark which he felt the need to catch up with after spending quite a while tucked up within his townhouse. And there were a few people he wanted to meet that had recently arrived. Apart from Dartagnan and his cronies, namely Donatien and Watson, there was not a vampire he would have disliked talking to. Especially not Eloise. So perhaps she was one of the more prominent reasons he was going....
The theme was victorian apparently, which had been ridiculously easy for him. He had simply picked out one of his outfits from that era in his wardrobe and sent it to the dry cleaners. He walked down the street, his hands dug into the pockets of his black trousers. The cut of his dark blue jacket was flattering and of good quality, as was the the crisp white shirt he wore underneath. Marc's skin was characteristically pale, seeing as he only drank blood when absolutely necessary, which made his dark eyes and hair stand out all the more.
Now, as he approached the mansion, he wondered whether he had made the right decision after all. He could have quite easily turned around, gone home and finished off that painting. No, he was here, he had to at least show his face for a few moments before giving in. As much as he valued his pride, he valued his life more. A few minutes wouldn't hurt anyone would it?

Eloise was bored with standing with her cousin and she walked away, looking for anybody she knew and when Jos came up,Eloise smiled and said,"Hello Jos--enjoying the party, are we?" Eloise's only friend in the vampires area was Jos and she respected her as a friend--although Eloise worried of her other friend,Kara--she hated the way her cousin treated her--but what was she to object Darcy? She had no place--she had to do what she was told--despite what she thought.
Eloise would have left the party and gone upstairs to her room and slept the rest of the night...that was until something else caught her memory--or someone else persay. Eloise then thought of him--Marc. He had been an admirer of hers and she admired him although she had to secretly like him because her cousin disapproved of his views upon the vampires and the way he treated Eloise--but Eloise couldn't help but smile whenever she smiled. At least Darcy didn't know that she saw him in secret.
Eloise's breath then caught as she saw him approuching the mansion,he looked so handsome! She had not seen him look that handsome since she met him. She looked to the doorway and knew this would not be good as she knew that Darcy was looking out for anyone to come to the door--Eloise had to see Marc and approuch him before he and Darcy had a battle this evening. Eloise then grasped the skirt of the dress that she wore and lifted it up gently as she rushed down the staircase, she needed to reach him before Darcy--Eloise then approuched him and whispered,"Marc!"She gently gripped onto his arm and looked back at the mansion to make sure Darcy wasn't looking their way,she then whispered,"I can't believe you're here--"Eloise said this in a very happy tone."Don't you know what would happen if my cousin saw you? It would be a battle tonight--"

He was left as good as speechless as a figured descended down the steps of the mansion, one he had revered for what seemed like decades though it had only been a year or two since he had met her. Eloise. She usually looked stunning whatever she wore but tonight she had gone to the upmost to look her best. Was it so suprising that she was held as one of the most beautiful women in the whole city? Well, she was to Marc anyway.
He had to mentally pull himself together as she approached, what on earth should he say? 'Have I told you recently how much I admire you?', which was charming if a bit formal. Or maybe an over the top 'Mine heart is in thine's hands"? Or the simple 'Forget your cousin, be mine instead'. No. None of them would do. He'd have to make other conversation until he could phrase it exactly right.
She gripped his arm, which was slightly forward for her. Then again, it might have something to do with her cousin not breathing down her neck and checking on her every minute. At least she sounded happy to see him. That was something, he supposed. "Good evening to you too Eloise!" Marc replied with a quiet chuckle before he listened to her words with an expression of complete seriousness "Well I thought I'd take the risk..." He added, leaving the 'to see you' ominously unspoken yet certainly implied, given the glimmer in his eyes.

Eloise felt so happy as to be able to see Marc here--more happy than with anyone within her life---she had sensed that his whole reason for being there was for her and her alone, she was glad that he was there only for her. Especially since that except Jos and Marc, she was completly alone--she barely trusted her cousin especially since she was made a seductress even without her consent but if she told her cousin, she would not do it--even she would face his wrath. And she did not want that--although she wanted to be a free vampiress.
Eloise instantly got Marc's hint that his risk was to see her--her heart if it still pumped would have exploded. Eloise knew she liked him and maybe could possibly even be falling for him--but Eloise knew that with her cousin around, she could not give Marc her full attention as she wanted to--she and Marc had to go somewhere where Darcy could not see them talking. She then had the thoughts--the gardens! There was no cameras,no guards--it was just peace and quiet.
Eloise then looked behind her to see that Darcy was preoccupied with the new vampiress arrival and so she took her chance and whispered into Marc's ear,"Follow me--quickly before my cousin sees us."Eloise then glanced back at Marc as she walked over to the gate which lead to the garden.
