So, I came up with this little plot, inspired by Moonlight of course.
Hannah is a on line news reporter and she is working on a case and the murder ends up being a vampire. She gets photos of the vampire being very much a vampire and either he sees her, or finds out who she is and will try to track her down before the pictures get out.
That next day she meets up with a human man who she had been flirting with for a little while and that day he finally tells her that he is in the resistance and tells her about vampires. She easily believes him because of last night, but she does not tell him about the night before.
That night the vampire meets her in her apartment, but instead of killing her, he talks. She tells him how she doesn't want trouble and that she knows about vampires, but he could have the pictures and that she wouldn't leak them out. They sort of become friends.
From there there could be a love triangle between the human, Hannah, and the vampire, but she is torn between the humans and the vampire, not knowing who to trust and who to help.
So, the human man is needed.
Name: up to you (I like the name Tristan a lot, or William  )
Age: between 22-25
Personality: he should be the type to keep secrets, but over protective, maybe the jealous type
celebrity claim: um, I like Edoardo Ballerini, Josh Hartnett, Tom Sturridge, or James Franco
