Twilight time. Hannah's favorite time where reality and fantasy met and mingled for a short while. Each dark shadow looked like a passage way to some fantastical adventure and each little jasmine on the vines in the park glowed just a little more, letting out the strong yet sweet scent. It was a time when Hannah thought anything could happen, but lately she found it a dangerous time. There was a serial killer out on the loose and he was killing women at twilight time, leaving their bloodless, mangled bodies in different areas around the city of Dark. She had been covering the story, the same way she was covering the recent disappearances and other odd murders. Of course the city was not calling out, "supernatural incidences," but Hannah was still curious. She couldn't help herself.
Dressed in a dark purple silk blouse and black tailored pants, Hannah walked through the park. Tonight she was not hear for a lead, nor was she hear as bait. The killer seemed to be attracted to the nocturnal ladies, the ones who were rather painted up and found sweet solace in the morning sun when they could rest their weary heads. Hannah looked nothing like that, but still she felt the sudden danger of being out alone. Perhaps it was because of her father's death, proclaimed an accident, though facts didn't match up. His neck was broken and he was found with a cross in his hand and a shattered piece of wood plunged through him. The way he positioned, they guess he must have fallen off the old wooden balcony, the barrier broken, but Hannah thought it was murder. But who would want to kill her old man? He was only an ex-cop who found pleasure in painting garden gnomes and going to the theaters with his dear beloved wife. Hannah would not think about that though.
She tucked a strand of her wavy blond hair behind her ear. In college she had worn it short, but since coming back home, she had grown it out long and now it was down to her upper mid-back. Her black leather boots made no sound on the dewy grass and Hannah finally sat down on a bench. Her car was not far off and she had pepper spray in her bag, but Hannah still kept her dark blue eyes open for danger. She would leave soon, but there was a reluctance to go back to her empty apartment.

Leo was in the park that time of night with his prey for the night. A young woman about her thirties,it did not matter what she was to him--all it mattered was the blood that would soon run through his mouth and throughout his entire body, tonight was the vampire's night to feed upon his prey. He had taken her out to dinner before he took her to the park,he always loved the taste of his victims after they had some food, the taste was ever so sweet.
Leonardo wore only a white long-sleeved t-shirt with black pants and black designer shoes. His long dark brown hair flowed to his shoulders and looked rather handsome like. He only meaned to as to impress his prey--it seemed to work well enought. As the two got out of his car,Leonardo knew exactly where he would take her blood--in the park. With her leaning against a tree. She would be useless against his mighty strength.
As he lead her into the park, they immediately began an passionate kiss--to her it meant something but Leo,it meant nothing--it was only one step to his trap for her. As he kissed her,he lead her to a tree where he immediately backed her against it,his kiss then went down her neck and to her pulsing vein. The only words,Leonardo said to her was,"This shall be over soon,my pet."And with that--his vampiric side took over as his eyes turned to the agua color and his fangs plunged into her neck. His victim only gave out a large scream.

Hannah had not been sitting long when she heard another car pull up and park not too far away from where she was sitting. She saw a handsome man and a woman who looked a little older than him get out of the car. The woman looked absolutely infatuated with the man, but he seemed to be on some mission. Hannah guessed that neither had seen her there as neither person minded when they began to kiss.
Hannah was not a bitter person, but it had been awhile since she had been on a date or in a steady relationship. It had been difficult settling back down in the city she had left, leaving her friends and future behind to go back to the past. Still, she wasn’t doing too poorly. She had a house to live in and a good job that she loved, even if some of the stories were only fluff.
As she thought about this, averting her eyes, she noticed something strange happening between the couple. Either it was her reporter instinct, or maybe the fact that they were the only other people in the park, she turned back and saw – was it blood or was she imagining things? Was this the notorious ladies’ killer? But the woman did not look like a painted lady and he did not fit the profile. Still, Hannah took out her little digital camera and snapped a picture as she crouched behind the bench. She did not want to get caught witnessing this murder as she did not want to be the next victim.

Leo was very careful with all of his bitings that were done in public,he made it look so innocent and that it was not his doing--being a vampire for seven hundred years did that to him. But most of his killings became blood lust for him--he could never get enough of blood. He was a vampire and d**n proud of that fact. No one could ever change that fact---
As Leo began to drink upon his victim's blood, her screaming had stopped as she gave in,her hand becoming wrapped within his long hair as she gasped with every gulp of blood he took. Most of his victims never screamed--they did usually but always stopped at the end, this was always something that came along with his seduction.
Leonardo thought that a few more gulps should do it for him. Leo began to drink more and more of her blood but he pulled away before he killed the young woman. As he pulled away, the woman pulled away from his grasp and ran off and away, crying her eyes out as if she had been betrayed. Leo scoffed at her,it wasn't like he turned her or anything--she didn't concern him now--for his nose uncovered a scent,he instantly turned around, blood dripping from his lips and his eyes still vampire-like. He smiled as he saw what his eyes beheld him,a mortal woman. Another treat. But what made him hiss was what she held in her hand--a camera. He hissed at her as his vampire side was now getting angry.

Hannah watched as the woman’s screams quickly ceased. She wondered if the woman was actually enjoying the act, or had she just given in, or was she close to death? All these questions sent shivers down her spine as her breath quickened. She snapped a few more pictures, ready to leave, but found herself unable to do so. Either she was so horrified that her fear glued her feet to the ground, or she got some insane, diabolical pleasure out of this. There was always that question as to why people found the idea of vampires so sexy. Then it hit her. Those murders must have been done by vampires, or a vampire. Maybe even this one, but the woman in his arms seemed to argue that case. Still, maybe she had a story.
Suddenly the woman ran off crying, stumbling as she was weak from the loss of blood. Hannah then looked up to see the vampire’s eyes focused on her. The blood was dripping down his chin and there was a cold, blood thirsty look on his face. It was the most horrifying and chilling thing she had ever seen. Still, she took one last picture of him staring at her before she stood up and ran over to her car. She nearly tripped, letting a silver case fall out of her pocket. The case contained her card with her number and address, but Hannah hadn’t noticed she had left a trail for the monster. Still, she had to get away. She refused to let herself look around to see if he was there as she got into her car. Finally in the driver’s seat she looked up, her headlights on, beaming toward the awful scene.
“Oh please start,” she whispered under her breath, her blue eyes wide with fear as she stared into the monster’s face. She only hoped her car would start up.

Leo always loved to watch his victims scramble for their lives or to their car when he hissed at them with his eyes blood hungry and blood of his past victim going down his chin. It was funny for him to watch and funny for him to be the one that was able to make a human scramble.
Leo watched as his victim trailed off scared as he began to approuch her with a running start but then he looked almost like a blur as he flew to her, hissing and growling. Leo always loved to watch them act this way,he immediately stopped as he saw the silver case that she lost. He would deal with it later--he had the owner of that case to deal with now.
As she got into her car and tried so desperately to start the car,Leo smiled as he walked over to the car,his smile showing off his vampire fangs---he then walked slowly and slowly towards the car, making the moments where he was slowly approuching the woman coming closer and closer.

Hannah’s breath quickened as her eyes stared at the fangs. Was a he an honest to god vampire? Did vampires even exist? These questions would have to be asked later if she still wanted to be alive to answer them. Finally her car started, the motor rumbling beneath her. She looked at her phone. She had the number to the police station on speed dial as one of the detectives was a friend of hers. Her hand shot out and pressed a button, dialing her friend. When the detective picked up she quietly said, “Help, I’m being attacked in the park. I think he has a weapon. I am in my car, but I am afraid he might get me.” If he was a vampire with super hearing senses then he probably heard that. She looked at him long and hard before backing up. Police sirens could be heard closing in, though they were still far away.
Hannah guessed he would be gone by the time the police arrived, but she didn’t want to be there, just in case he took her and relocated to a quieter area for him to make a meal out of her. With her camera safely next to her, she drove off in the direction of the police station. She would have a cop or two accompany her home, though once there, she doubted she would ever see this monster again.

Leo could hear the cries she made into her phone about her being attacked and Leo's eyes widened. If police was coming,he knew this would not be good--he had never been caught by police before and he did not plan to tonight. He would make sure he would not forget her face--he would be back for her later--much,much later--she thought he would never return but clearly the woman did not know about vampires like him--if she ever knew about them.
Leonardo's ears could hear the sirens approuching and knew he had better get the hell out of there or else he would be in deep, deep trouble. And so he wiped the blood off of his chin and ran to the silver case and opened it--he looked at her name and her address. Hannah Meyer--he would remember her--he would meet her once again. As he disappeared into the darkness of shadows,he already came up with his plans--oh,yes,he would see her again---but this time he would be human.

Her eyes were wide open as she kept them trained on the street ahead. She would not look back to see if he was following or where he went. Perhaps she had been imagining things, but no. There was a camera for proof. She would not show the pictures to anyone, but she would not delete them either. Those pictures would either be the death of her, or would protect her. She would find out soon enough.
Once at the police station, Hannah was greeted by her concerned friend. He asked her a few questions and then told her that his officers had found nothing and no one. She did not tell him about the evidence, not yet anyhow, but a cop did accompany her home. Once there, she made sure her mother was asleep before she uploaded the photos into her computer and then backed them up into a USB plug. She stored that in a small toothpaste box in her bathroom. Hannah knew that being an adult meant that she should have her own place, but that was not her main concern right now. Her main one was if the monster would come looking for her. It was possible. With that thought she changed into a white night gown and slipped into bed. Her window was shut closed, but her mind was wild as her imagination took over.
