Dartagnan, Darcy
Leader of the vampires and the most powerful in the city, he is the one to pursue the new woman in town, Destinee. He intends to turn her into a vampire in time, once he has won her over. He and Donatien own the Rosa Nightclub. In Dark, his word is law. Dartagnan is not the man to cross.

Donatien, Phillip
He has been Dartagnan’s second in command for many years now. He has taken Baudouin, a human woman, as his lover and spy despite the risks. He strongly disapproves of Destinee who is, in his mind, a trouble maker and will be the downfall of the vampires in Dark. When the time comes, will anyone heed his words?

Watson, Josephine
This female vampire has caused a stir in society lately, achieving the rank of third in command, a position previously reserved for males. Ambitious and intelligent, there is no telling what position Watson has her sights on next. She is rather resentful towards Donatien, a former lover, and is more than willing to seek revenge on him.

Carrick, Cavan
As the most recent addition to the vampires, Carrick is largely distrusted by the group. In a bid to prove himself, he becomes an informant for the group. However, a chance meeting with Anderssen will see his principles and priorities questioned as he falls for her.

Dartagnan, Eloise
Turned mistakenly by her cousin Darcy, she had no choice but to come to Dark and follow her cousin's orders. These orders mainly include tempting men with her pretty face and then biting them. It is not a life she enjoys, being used by men. Her only hope is to escape her current situation.

Ravenel, Marc
Ravenel is fairly low down in the vampire hierarchy. He has more morals and principles than most, which sets him apart from the rest. He detests Dartagnan's treatment of his cousin Eloise, whom he has admired and attempted to protect since her arrival. His position is very precarious, one wrong move and he could be cast out or worse. Will his head or heart decide his actions?

Walsh,Kara
The only living relative of Alexander Walsh, her older brother, Kara was kidnapped from her family home three years ago by Dartagnan's followers. She became his human servant, thankfully never turned. Little does she know that her brother is within Dark and is her captives greatest enemy.

This particular vampire is an unknown quantity. He has no control over himself, resulting in random attacks on both humans and vampires. Stapleton has long been outcasted by the vampires, something he is particularly bitter about.

He turned her and then fled, for her was falsely accused with a murder he did not commit. When he and the youngest Volette daughter are reunited, what will happen? This vampiress may have only been around for two hundred eighty three years but she still has the sweetness and beauty of a seventeen year old girl. She had a crush on a human boy once and was trying to find him again at one point but things changed. In Dark, she meets and falls in love with as soon as she sees him a new vampire, Rochester. Will the two be able to be together?

This vampire has been around for four hundred eighty years and has seen alot. He has known many beautiful women and they have all come willingly to him, since he still has the looks of a man in his early 20s. Rochester comes to Dark and falls in love at first site with Brishen's daughter, Lisette. How long will it take for Rochester to speak his true feelings to Lisette?

Destinee, Rosabel
This newcomer to Dark quickly climbed the ranks of the vampire resistance group, establishing herself as its leader in a matter of months. The city looks to her for support at this time due to her leadership qualities and lack of fear. Unaware of Dartagnan’s plans for her, she finds herself falling for the vampire hunter Bastier.But what will happen when Dartagnan’s plans come to fruition?

Baudoiun, Azura
Baudoiun is probably the closest friend Destinee has right now. Second in command in the group by day, Donatien’s lover by night, her loyalties are extremely divided. She cannot abandon the resistance yet neither can she leave Donatien. In the end, who will she choose?

Thomas, Liam
As the only man with a specified rank within the resistance, he is naturally very protective of his ‘ladies? Particularly so of Destinee, whom he has known for a while now. He does not approve of her relationship with Bastier however, he has other things on his mind. Like how he is going to work out who is the spy within the group?

Valaux, Callia
Valaux has a long history with Dark City. She grew up here before moving away to live with her aunt and uncle after her parents vanished. Two years ago, she returned to discover what happened to them. During that time, she became Dartagnan’s lover. However, he soon abandoned her, leaving her full of hatred for vampires. She established the resistance yet now she is under Destinee‘s command. The tension between the two is rather strained at best.

Gautier, Jean
A French immagrant, Gautier has come to Dark to feed his own intellectual needs. He has heard rather a lot about the vampires in Dark and, although he finds them interesting, he has sided with the resistance. He is a compromising fellow and has taken on the role of peacemaker within the group. Unlike his mercurial brother Etienne.

Gautier, Etienne
Independent and risk-taking, Gautier came to Dark for a new experience, having found France far too dull for his liking. He stays with the resistance purely for shelter and to socialize although the city at night has far more interesting residents within.

Anderssen, Sandy
New to town, Anderssen came to Dark in search of fame and fortune. She is young and fairly niave about the city and its…unusual residents. One night, she meets Carrick and believes him to be just another guy. Yet he holds a deadly, life threatening secret.

Bastier, Roman
Few would know that this infamous vampire slayer was not who he claimed to be. Born Alexander Walsh, he came to Dark three years ago after his sister’s capture to rescue her. Killing his way through the ranks of the vampires, he is Dartagnan’s nemesis and the one the vampires fear most. He has unexpectedly fallen for Destinee, despite his better judgement.
