Penelope cursied to Aston and allowed him to kiss her hand. "Forgive me,Celeste,Federico--I need to check on something in the kitchen,Madamoiselle Gabor, Penny looked to Aston when he said her name, "can you help me? I am sure Federico can be without your company for a moment." She nodded. "Of course, Monseuir Brishen." She gave a light smile to Feder and followed Aston silently into the kitchen. |

Federico smiled as Penelope followed Aston into the kitchen. Federico then bowed and kissed Celeste's hand and replied,"Madamoiselle Volette--a pleasure. Now,are you the sister of Oceane Volette? Correct me if I am not--"Federico then asked her,"How did you meet Aston? He seemed to looked in love with you when my date and I entered..."

As soon as Aston and Penelope reached the kitchen,Aston looked to Penelope and said to her,"Penelope Gabor--what a surprise to see you here--why am I not surprised? You always had such the liking towards vampires--tell me,how did you meet Federico? At the same place where we met,I suppose--"Aston then raised his eyebrow awaiting for her to speak.

If you will call me,Federico."Federico then smiled and said,"Once turned by Aston and now lovers as vampires,huh?"Federico then laughed and replied,"Listen--I know we are all vampires here but leave my date alone--I know she is a human,but she feels uncomfortable enough---"

"tell me,how did you meet Federico? At the same place where we met,I suppose--" "No, if you must know." Penny said, "He saved my life. I was running in the park and a rogue vampire attacked me. He saved me. Without Federico, I would be in a grave in the Dark City graveyard." She crossed her arms over her chest. "Now, you tell me, how did you meet your "date" out there?" She eyes stayed narrowed towards Aston. |

Aston's eyes narrowed at her as he replied,"Just to let you know,Celeste and I have been together for over many years--something you and Federico will never understand. I had to let her go--because of something I was wrongfully accused of! You will never know true love until you have loved someone for many centuries like I have!"Aston's eyes then narrowed with anger."You do realize that Federico is as old as I am?"

"There is nothing to forgive." she sat beside him on the sofa, "Oceane and I...well, let's just say she's trying to take my...job, if you will, and I am not ready to leave that job yet for it provides myself and those I love with security." She fingered the locket that held Aston's picture. Why was she so reluctant of giving up her place as Darcy's mistress? She loved Aston but why couldn't she give up her old life? She didn't know. |
