The year is 1858, the white settlers have arrived in the new land they come to call America and have pumped gold out of the veins of this country. Of course they thought themselves first to see the wonders this land had to offer, but there were many other races. The first they came upon was the red indians, their culture was old, dating back to thousands of years, but there was one they never met unless they were about to die. One race that held themselves high but stood in the dark. Vampires. These nightmares were real, they fed on the blood of many. They didn't mind whose, they just wanted the inky red substance that gave them life. Unbeknownst to the rest of the world, their race flourished, many people died at the teeth of these dark creatures. Very few only began to wonder. But then very slowly they found out. Men and women of all ages hunted them down, killing, staking if you will, these life sucking bats.

Slowly, the race which had once been so strong dwindled. Many vampires fled into hiding, most of them planning a revenge on the humans. Time passed again. Many, many years on the human race had almost forgotten the vampires. They had reduced the very real things into mere stories and tales to scare others. But they are real. Very real. For now, ever so quietly, they creep back into society to regain their status. Over the years they had hidden away, the vampires have evolved. No more bats for them, but now there is something more sinister that helps them. For now, vampires can walk out into the sun for an hour or so before it becomes painful. This means that they can mingle with the humans, gain jobs and money. So how will the humans cope?

Now the present is upon us. It's 2008, and in this city full of desire, deception and wealth, there reins a group of rich gentleman, who terriorize the city of "Dark". The people are plunged into a world of darkness, many being taken off the streets or lured to their death. That is, until a young woman arrives in town. Little does she and the rest of the city know that the group running Dark City are vampires. Little does this woman know, that she is destinied for great things. Will this woman overthrow the group? Or will she bend to the pressure and fall in love with the leader? You will just have to wait and see, won't you? Humans or Vampires? Which side are you on?
